THE ART OF WRITING IN THE OTTOMAN
Types of Writing
* Makili = This is the first post. It is a simple font.
* Kufi = Used in Seljuks. 1/3 of the pen is used. It is the text of the book. It is completely rounded. This writing is mostly used in the Holy Quran.
* Nesih
* Talik = It was used during the Ottoman period. It is also the writing used by the Iranians.
* Divani = The writing of the Sultan's decrees.
-Rik'a = The person's handwriting.

* Raw silk (Lika)
* Makta (Pen bed)

* Ink Pot
Preparation of Paper
- The paper, egg whites and alum are mixed and sized
- With the burning candles in the smokehouse in the mosques and the hole in the room, soot occurs on the wall.
-This soot is dug from the wall and turned into ink.
- As a result of opening holes on both ends of a cardboard and tying them with ropes, these ropes are pressed on a special paper, and the traces of the ropes appear on the paper and lines are formed.
- It prevents the raw silk ink from spilling and does not dry the ink.
-Rich is in the form of salt shaker.It is the powder used to dry and decorate the ink.
Book
It consists of 2 sections: Sellevha (Front page) and Ketebe (Last page).
The head page is the page with lots of decorations.
-The last page also specifies the Calligrapher (Author) name and date.
The binding of the book consists of the front cover, back cover, back, miclep, sertap and shiraze sections.
-Ottomans also used floral ornaments, Seljuks geometric ornaments.
