HİSTORİCAL HASEKİ HÜRREM SULTAN HAMAM
Haseki Hürrem Sultan Bath in Istanbul was designed and built by the chief architect of the Ottoman, Mimar Sinan. It was built in the 16th century (1556-1557 AD) at the request of Hürrem Sultan, the wife of Suleiman the Magnificent. It was built between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, where the old Zeuxippus (100-200 AD) baths were located. The area is also of particular importance as the place where the Temple of Zeus once stood.
In the hamam, there are bath sections where the cold, hot sections for the men and the hot, warm and cold sections for the women follow each other.
